Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing is searching for an experienced Paralegal to join our growing Legal team. The Paralegal will provide support and assistance to our in-house legal team. This position will be responsible for using their knowledge and skills to manage inquiries and requests for the Legal team while providing task management by helping to develop, organize, and maintain key legal processes and documentation.

Essential Functions

  • Provide administrative support to the Legal team.
  • Coordinate and manage timely applications, renewals, and reports to maintain certain certifications and licenses.
  • Provide litigation support and prepare minor litigation documents.
  • Create and revise minor legal documents, including non-disclosure documents as well as contract amendments and addenda.
  • Coordinate contracting process for the Company and its affiliated entities, including administration of the contract management system.
  • Assist the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel with tracking and analyzing key team performance indicators and information critical to establishing and maintaining the return on investment metrics for the Legal team.
  • Provide regulatory support for the Legal team by assisting with tracking, monitoring and supporting regulatory compliance projects.
  • Assist the legal team by acting as a liaison with internal business partners and affiliated entities to identify their department’s business objectives.
  • Assist with maintaining the trademark portfolio and assist with trademark infringement matters for the Company and its affiliated entities as needed.
  • Assist with preparing entity formation documents and maintaining government filings.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with employees across all teams and business units.
  • Implement, execute on, and evaluate new and current procedures and processes.
  • Continuously communicate with the team to solve problems and document solutions.
  • Constantly re-prioritize tasks to adjust on the fly to new and changing information.
  • Maintain detailed and organized files.
  • Assist with other projects within the Legal team.

Work Environment

This position operates as a hybrid position and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Work environment defined:

Local - position has in-office requirements and would require employee to live in the local area

Hybrid - position has weekly in-office requirements but ability to work from home as well, would require employee to live in the local area

Remote - no in-office requirements, employee would not need to live in the local area

  • Employee is regularly required to talk and hear
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a phone, headset, calculator, copier, and printer

Position Type/Expected hours worked

This is a full-time position, and standard hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CST (flexible start/end times with manager discretion). Regular and punctual attendance is required

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years previous experience in similar role
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with contracts
  • Medical Staffing experience
  • Experience with data entry and maintenance
  • Completion of an approved paralegal program
